About us at Low Tide Publishing
We are a young new publisher with some new innovative ideas for marketing and promotions as well as being open to new fiction and non-fiction of all kinds. We're happy to take risks and ask for you to take that leap with us into bringing publishing into the twenty-first century. While we are avid lovers of the smell of new books and the feel of paper in flipping the pages, we are always looking for new ways to explore the art of writing.
At Low Tide Publishing, we aim to be the best at what we do. We fully expect for you to aspire toward reaching new heights as well, and we will be there to help you along the way. We provide a new type of relationship with publishers for authors, retailers and readers. In our highly participatory model, we work with professionalism to make the process as simple and painless as possible.

M. Tristan Himes
Tristan Himes, a managing partner and founder of Low Tide Publishing, is an avid blogger and author. While his background is in private security management and firearms instruction, Tristan's love of reading has lead him to his true calling in publishing. He brings with him to Low Tide Publishing a hard nose for business and a no-nonsense approach to editing. However, his eye for detail is only matched by his sense of humor.
Tristan, also a true native of the Dallas area, now resides in Fort Worth with his lovely wife and two wonderful sons. He has had the eye opening experience of being a stay as home dad, which at times could be an easy comparison to his time in private military contracting. While the latter made him well-traveled, the former has given him a new appreciation for mashed peas and dirty diapers that few could endure.
His tastes in books range from crime drama to military history.
